April 27, 2022: I really liked this session a lot. My break out team was great too. I wish I would have been able to fill out the DISC questionnaire ahead of having this class, none the less. I will still look forward to filling it out and going through it and seeing what the report says about my personality.
I really liked learning another way of looking at personalities. This is easier for me to relate to than the Myers brigs.

Our executive leadership team underwent coaching from Mr. Kevin Johnson of The Johnson Leadership Group from August 2020 to March 2021. The keynote address given by Kevin Johnson at our Martin Luther King, it was inspirational, thought provoking and motivational. Johnson inspired us with the words of Dr. King regarding using love to combat the effects of injustice and using our God-given talents to “do something” rather than idly standing by. He gave us practical ways to organize our thoughts, set priorities and establish clear goals. When Johnson concluded his presentation, I felt encouraged that even in my small way in my community I can make a significant difference.

Black Enterprise produced a multi-day event which celebrated the achievements of men across multiple categories (business, finance, technology, entrepreneurism, etc.) as well as focusing on career growth at the executive level. Mr. Kevin Wayne Johnson has been a pillar to the VCU African American Alumni Council’s Mentoring Circle. This is an organic mentorship program where VCU alumni volunteer their time touching the lives and future professional aspirations of current VCU collegiates. Kevin has offered his skills and talents informing potential and active mentees in areas such as life skills management, networking, and preparing for interviews.
