April 27, 2022: I really liked this session a lot. My break out team was great too. I wish I would have been able to fill out the DISC questionnaire ahead of having this class, none the less. I will still look forward to filling it out and going through it and seeing what the report says about my personality.
I really liked learning another way of looking at personalities. This is easier for me to relate to than the Myers brigs.

Project Manager - Nationa Park Service Denver Service CenterOur executive leadership team underwent coaching from Mr. Kevin Johnson of The Johnson Leadership Group from August 2020 to March 2021. For many of us, it was the first time receiving any leadership coaching in our careers. Mr. Johnson’s approach consisted of easy-to-follow exercises and discussions. Through Mr. Johnson’s process, the team learned about self-awareness, how to constructively empower each other and our teams, effective communication, and more.
Mr. Johnson’s coaching has helped us to remember to take our time to pause and reflect, reminded us of the importance of self-care in personal and professional growth, and taught our team how we can better support each other in reaching our highest potential and to be more effective in our roles. I recommend coaching through The Johnson Leadership Group to anyone looking to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Baltimore City Health Commissioner, Baltimore, MDThe keynote address given by Kevin Johnson at our Martin Luther King, it was inspirational, thought provoking and motivational. Johnson inspired us with the words of Dr. King regarding using love to combat the effects of injustice and using our God-given talents to “do something” rather than idly standing by. He gave us practical ways to organize our thoughts, set priorities and establish clear goals. When Johnson concluded his presentation, I felt encouraged that even in my small way in my community I can make a significant difference.

Supervisory Law Enforcement Specialist - Instructor Development & Special Projects James J. Rowley Training Center U.S. Secret Service, DHSBlack Enterprise produced a multi-day event which celebrated the achievements of men across multiple categories (business, finance, technology, entrepreneurism, etc.) as well as focusing on career growth at the executive level. Kevin rose to the challenge in providing astute executive level coaching to all attendees that were assigned to him. Based on feedback, Kevin was diligent in understanding the needs/goals of the client, then mapped out a clear vision/focus for them to follow as a guidepost. He also provided his clients with reference materials, post the event to keep on the course and offered them the opportunity to continue the conversation while on their journey to being the best version of themselves. I would wholeheartedly invite Kevin back as coach for our upcoming event as I’m sure the attendees as well as myself are looking forward to his contributions that make a huge impact on all involved.

Events Marketing Manager, New York, NYKevin’s presentation “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect” was expertly delivered. Kevin is very knowledgeable on the topic and his teaching skill is very engaging. He delivered an impactful presentation. One of the comments we received expressed the usefulness of the tips given – “Although the content wasn’t necessarily brand new, I walked away with new and useful tips to apply to my professional and personal life. In managing people, I’ve quickly realized it’s one of the most complicated aspects of the job and building “soft skills” takes time and lots of practice.”
